Professional Church Exterior Services

Church exteriors can vary greatly in height and design features. Generally older churches are taller and ornate. Older churches will almost certainly have been previously painted with lead based paints. (The rule of thumb is that any structure built before 1978 may have lead based paints applied to it.) We are a contractor with a national lead certification, meaning that we are trained and certified in painting structures that have lead paint applied to them.

The presence of lead paint on a church, or any older building, does not mean that the paint must be laboriously removed and remediated. It does mean however, that during the painting process some special steps must be taken to contain lead dust and paint chips. Aside from that, it is perfectly acceptable to contain, or encapsulate the existing lead based coatings with modern acrylic or urethane based paints.

It is prudent to insure that your contractor has a lead certification.

Our EPA certification number is NAT-20375-4
